Bowing Before the Father 4/3/2016

Ephesians

The Apostle Paul begins his prayer in chapter 3:14 with a posture of humble adoration. He bows his knees before the Father "from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named.” Bowing the knees was an unusual posture for prayer, rich in symbolism. There is also a strong prophetic undertone to Paul’s action drawn from Isaiah 45:22-23.
