The Gospel of salvation is Christ. He is the good news. Every aspect of His life was necessary to secure our salvation. His virgin birth, His sinless life, His atoning death, and His burial were part and parcel of securing our redemption. However, the climax is His resurrection, without which His work would be incomplete. As Paul tells the Corinthians, if Christ did not rise, we remain in our sins.
