In Romans 6, Paul underscores the importance of understanding our union with Christ. From the incarnation to the ascension, everything Jesus said and did was for the glory of the Father in the salvation of His people. All who are in Christ died with Him to our old self. We were buried with Him that we might leave our old self in the grave. We were raised with Him that we might walk in newness of life. The power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in us, conforming us to HIs image.
