Comfort, Comfort My People 12/7/2014

Advent 2014

Isaiah 40:1-11 is one of the most tender and beautiful passages of Messianic promise in the Old Testament. Immediately following an ominous pronouncement of judgment for the sin of Judah, God speaks from His heavenly court about the remedy He will provide for a people laboring under the crushing weight of sin. It expresses the compassionate heart of God who will rescue His people from the condemnation they deserve.
