The angelic message given to the shepherds on the night of Christ’s birth has often been misunderstood. Their message was not good news of great joy for every individual. Also, they were not proclaiming peace for the rebellious of this world nor pronouncing good will toward every person. The angels were proclaiming the Gospel.
