The God of the bible is immortal and invisible, dwelling in unapproachable light. We cannot discover Him on our own. While He must make Himself known, He has been speaking from the very beginning, at many times and in many ways. However, His full and final revelation is Christ, the eternal Word who became flesh. In Christ’s first coming, we heard God’s still, small voice as He entered the world in humility. However, when Christ comes again, we will hear God’s thundering voice that commands the submission of every creature in heaven and on earth.
