Jesus first donned the armor that’s been bequeathed to us. He discerned all things, put his enemies to flight and freed those in bondage to sin with the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. Christ’s temptation in the wilderness exemplifies how to send the devil fleeing with the sword of the Spirit.
