1 John 3:2 we find that seeing God as He is will be the final step in our transformation into the image of Christ. Though we are growing in grace and knowledge in the present, the last step in our journey will be the lion's share of our transformation. The beatific vision is transformative. When we see God as He is, we will finally know the full satisfaction of the joy and pleasure for which we were created. This joy and presence will be perpetual and ongoing as there will always be more of God to enjoy throughout eternity.
