In the opening doxology of Ephesians we find that the riches of God's grace that He lavishes upon His people not only includes the blessings of election, adoption, redemption and forgiveness but the wisdom and insight that makes known to us the mystery of His will. Such wisdom and insight is a gift that provides us with an understanding that can only come by revelation. Wisdom is the ability to discern the true nature of things and insight refers to the skill needed to live in tune with that wisdom.
