Humble, Meek, Patient, Forbearing 6/12/2016

Ephesians

Those who are humble, meek, patient and forbearing are living in a manner that is worthy of their calling. Seeing ourselves as the dependent creatures we are makes us humble before others. Meekness is the gentle demeanor that comes from recognizing God’s providential dealings without contesting or complaining. Patience is being long suffering with others as a reflection of God’s mercy toward us. Forbearance is putting up with others in love just as God bears with us. These are the virtues that characterize Christian living.
