The Form of a Servant 6/21/2020

Philippians

In Philippians 2:7 we find that the Son, existing in the form of God, emptied Himself by taking the form of a servant. He did not cease to be God but His deity was veiled by taking to Himself a human body and nature. Christ emptied Himself by not taking advantage of His divine prerogatives and privileges, living as a human being, in total reliance upon the Father, fulfilling what it means to live as an image of God.
