In redemption, we are united with the Triune God through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit made possible by the atoning work of Christ. We are drawn up into the very life and power of the Triune God that we may "become perfectly one.” We have been made one in Christ but we must grow in our experience of that unity. We can rest assured that Christ’s prayer will be answered and we will be perfectly one when He comes again.
