Sanctification is the process by which creation is made holy in relation to the innately Holy God. This sanctification takes place as Christ comes to dwell in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Sanctification is the process by which we are gradually conformed to Christ's image, restoring us to God's original intent for us as His image. Christ is our righteousness which makes us acceptable before the Holy God while we are growing in grace.
