God is Not Mocked; You Reap What You Sow 11/20/2022

Yet I Will Rejoice in the Lord: The Book of Habakkuk

In Habakkuk 2:6-17, the Lord assures God’s people that the wicked Babylonians He was raising up as His hammer of judgment against Judah and the surrounding nations will face their own judgment in due time. While they were fulfilling God’s purpose, they did so with wicked intent. Four woes of judgment declares how God would turn the tables on the Babylonians. The plunderer would be plundered, the one who rendered the nations defenseless would be made vulnerable, the one who destroyed civilizations will have his legacy erased and the one who humiliated the nations will be put to shame. God is not mocked. The Babylonians will reap what they have sown.
