Christ's perfect fulfillment of the Law is a prominent theme in Luke's Gospel. Jesus kept the law for us, in our place. He was our substitute, satisfying all righteousness on our behalf. He condescended that He might rescue and reascend with us to restore us to God. Even at age 12, Jesus was redeeming our relationship with the father as he demonstrated how our greatest desire should be to dwell in the presence of God.
