Alas for the Day!

Judah had sinned and was now facing a Day of the Lord in judgment. Before entering the land, the covenant people had been promised blessings for faithfulness and warned of curses for forsaking the Lord. This Day of the Lord was a day of woe, and the people had no one to blame but themselves. God was sifting the wheat from the tares. Yet, there was a Day of the Lord coming when the remnant would be restored.
