The Apostle Paul says that those who are in Christ are a new creation; the old is gone and the new is come. With this new life comes a new, eternal, overarching goal. This new aim is the same goal God's people pursue whether in this present age or in His presence. Pleasing God should be the supreme objective that presides over all other objectives, directing our behavior, informing our decisions and governing our behavior.
