The literal, physical, bodily resurrection of Jesus is a non-negotiable tenant of Christianity. Without it, Christ’s righteous life and sacrificial death would be to no avail. We are born again by the mercy of God through our Savior’s resurrection from the dead. It is also the basis for our living hope, our anticipation of a redeemed, glorified body like that of the risen Christ (1 Peter 1:3-5).
