The peace of God that Christ secured for His people on the cross is an objective reality for all who are in Christ. However, the key to the subjective experience of this peace is a life of trusting God through thankful and humble prayer (Philippians 4:7). This peace can be experienced regardless of our external circumstances, baffling the world and compelling joyful worship within the saints. It truly transcends human understanding. This peace is anchored in heaven itself, soaring far above the earthly fray and transcending our light and momentary afflictions, resting in the far greater and eternal weight of glory God is working in us through the trials and tribulations of this life.
