Many Christians complain about the secularization of Christmas. However, a recovery of the season should begin with Advent, a season of worship leading up to Christmas that is rich in the redemptive theology of Christ’s coming. A full bodied Advent season focuses on Christ’s first coming in which He purchased our salvation, His present coming in the Spirit by which He applies our salvation and His future return when He will complete our salvation.
