As Children of light we are to bear the fruit of light. In Ephesians 5:10-11, we find that bearing the fruit of light is pleasing the Lord. We grow in fruitfulness by examining every situation in light of God’s Word to determine what pleases Him. Since we are no longer darkness, we must not participate in the unfruitful works of darkness. When we bear the fruit of light by pleasing God, the contrast exposes the works of darkness for what they are.
