The prophet Habakkuk was granted a dialogue with God and a vision of coming judgment and salvation. His reaction was one of fear and trembling. This encounter with the Lord left him exhausted, speechless, and without strength. Throughout Scripture, those who had a close encounter with God were gripped with fear and surprised they survived.
