Christians enjoy an objective unity because of the redeeming work of the Triune God. However, the Apostle Paul urges us to grow into that unity experientially. While the fullness of our unity will only be experienced at Christ’s return, we should pursue growth in Christ through the Word of God and the gifts Christ gives that the body of Christ might become mature and stable.
