John 17 contains the longest and most expansive of Christ’s prayers recorded in Scripture. Jesus prays not only for His disciples but for all of His people throughout history. Jesus begins by praying for Himself. He has but one request, that the Father glorify Him that He might glorify the Father. The glory of God is the overarching theme of this wondrous prayer.
