In John 17:24, Jesus makes His will known to the Father. Christ is not content to simply return to the Father and have His pre-incarnate glory restored. His desire is for those the Father has given Him to be with Him in the eternal presence of the Father. Christ loves His people and eagerly awaits the day when the family of God is complete and with Him in glory.
