In Phil 3:20-21, Paul reminds us that our citizenship is in heaven from which we await the return of our Savior. The Apostle has set an example before us of how to live as citizens of heaven that currently dwell in this world (3:8-17). We should press on toward the upward call of God in Christ for our hope is not in this world but in the glory yet to come. Our blessed hope is the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ who will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body even as He makes all things new.
