Discipleship is a life of learning to observe all that Christ commanded. Christ is the Lord of heaven and earth and those who answer the call of the Gospel come to Him in deliberate submission to His authority. Followers of Christ need to have an accurate understanding of the content of His teaching with a view to living out His will in all of life.
