In Christ’s High Priestly Prayer, the model for our oneness is the oneness of the Father and the Son. Our oneness is grounded in the relational nature of God. While there is a specific correspondence between these two kinds of unity (deity and humanity), they are not exactly the same. Nonetheless, this is the model that Christ gives for our oneness.
