When Jesus charged the disciples with the Great Commission He was uncovering the mystery of the Gospel. The redemptive purpose of God was disclosed in the pages of the Old Testament but how the promise of the Messiah would be fulfilled was a mystery that remained hidden until Christ's redemptive work was done.
