Ephesians is evenly divided into two parts. Chapters 1-3 deal with the indicatives of God’s plan and work of redemption while chapters 4-6 deal with our response to such wondrous truths. Chapter 4 begins with “therefore,” a signal that Paul intends for what follows to be read in light of the first three chapters. Walking worthy of our calling refers to living our lives day-to-day in light of the riches of God’s grace, the strength of the Spirit and the transforming power of Christ.
