God created humanity, male and female, in His image. While God is our Father, the virtues of motherhood also reflect His character. The relationship of mother and child was designed by God to highlight certain attributes that should be present in varying degrees in all of His people. In 1 Thessalonians 2, Paul uses the virtues of motherhood to express his care and concern for God’s people.
