In John 17:22-23, Jesus says that He has given us the glory that the Father gave Him that we may be one even as they are one, Christ in us and the Father in Him. This is profound language of intimate and organic unity. Christ is the God-Man, the one true mediator who unites God and elect humanity. Christians are in Christ and He is in them. The Father is in Christ and He is in the Father. Christ draws Christians up into the very life of the Triune God.
