The individualistic, experiential society of today has had a negative impact on the church. For many, feelings, emotions and intuition have displaced the Scriptures as the ultimate authority and final word in matters of faith and practice. While God created us with feelings, they were meant to play a supportive role. They were intended to follow what we know, not dictate what we believe. The only way to truly know Christ is by the revelation given in His Word.
