The proud and self-reliant are corrupt in heart and shall not survive but, those who have faith in God are righteous and not only have life but live by humbly trusting in Him. After establishing this basic truth in Habakkuk 2:4, the Lord turns to the Babylonians. They celebrated their victories with wine and wealth. But, in the end, that which they trusted would betray them.
