As Jesus prays for His disciples, He says, “Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you gave to me, that they may be one, even as we are one.” The nature of this oneness is obviously limited where we are concerned. The Father and Son are one in the fullness of deity. The specific oneness Jesus refers to for His disciples is defined by what Jesus stresses about His unity with the Father in the previous verses of the prayer.
