In 2 Thessalonians 2, Paul addresses error plaguing the young congregation. The saints were troubled and alarmed by a prophecy, false teaching, and forgery claiming to be a letter from Paul declaring that the Day of the Lord had already happened. Paul’s remedy is to hold fast to the truth of Scripture. It’s God’s Word that produces soundness of mind.
