Scripture speaks of the “appearance” of Christ. The word behind that translation is “epiphany.” It refers to illumination, manifestation, and making oneself known. Christ makes Himself known in the Gospel. We cannot know Christ apart from the Gospel for the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation.
