In 1 Thessalonians 4-5, Paul encourages the saints concerning the coming Day of the Lord. That day will overtake the world with sudden, unexpected destruction because they are sons of darkness. Though we were once sons of darkness, the Lord spoke to tour hearts and said, “Let there be light!” We are now sons of Light and sons of the Day. While we may not know the day or the hour, we know He is coming and look for Him in hopeful expectation.
