In 1 Thessalonians 4:9, Paul says the saints have been taught by God to love one another. While God is always teaching His people through secondary means such as reading, meditating on, and hearting His Word preached, there are some things (such as love and forgiveness) that are taught by God through experiencing the blessings of His salvation.
