In Scripture, “the Day of the Lord” refers to God’s visitation in judgment upon sin and salvation for His people. There have been many preliminary “Days of the Lord” all foreshadowing the consummate Day of the Lord when Christ returns. It will be a wonderfully blessed event for those who are in Christ but a terrifying day for those that have rejected Him.
