While Satan is the agent promoting the affliction of God’s people, his intent is evil but God’s intent is good. The afflictions for which God’s people are destined work in us a far greater weight of glory. The enemy’s evil intent is thwarted when, rather than folding under pressure, we embrace affliction and allow patience to have its perfect work.
