As Paul concludes his first letter the the Thessalonians, he leaves the saints with directives to pray, show love to all our kin in Christ, and proclaim the Scripture to all the saints. In his benediction, Paul reminds us that, beginning to end, God is the effectual agent of our sanctification, made possible by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ who purchased our salvation.
