In 1 Thes 2:19-20, Paul calls these saints his hope, joy, and crown of boasting. The Apostle is not boasting in himself but in the fruit God had granted him in the exercise of the ministry he had been given. The saints are Paul’s crown which he will cast at the Lord’s feet but his reward is to hear God say, “Well done, good and faithful servant."
