Our sanctification must be total and complete because our former depravity was total and complete. Our present sanctification involves a warfare waged on three fronts, the world, the flesh, and the devil. Ongoing sanctification requires a mortification of the old self that we might say no to the world efforts to conform us to the spirit of the age and resist the temptations of the devil.
